IDEA JOURNAL
An idea journal (IDJ) is an individual project where the assignment are given to spark students creativity in presenting their ideas. This IDJ is divided into IDJ 1, IDJ 2, IDJ 3 and IDJ 4. The basic requirement of this project is to have a mindmap on the development of each idea. Also, a Facebook page has to be created to post our progress work (each IDJ)
For our IDJ, our task is to imagine ourselves as a famous celebrity and describe about our road to fame. There are no limitations for the celebrity we choose, we have the option to choose from any existing celebrity such as fashion designers, idols, etc. We have specific tasks to complete for each IDJ. The tasks to be completed is listed as below:
IDJ 1: Choose our celebrity and create a success story
IDJ 2: Design three attire for our celebrity's celebrity award event
IDJ 3: Design and create our own merchandise
IDJ 4: Create an interesting profile picture and cover photo for our Celebrity Facebook Page
Each IDJ has to be scanned and upoaded to the Facebook Celebrity page. After all IDJ has been completed, they have to be compiled properly and we have to design a book cover (front and back page) for our celebrity.

IDJ 1 is about deciding on my celebrity and writing my celebrity's success story.
I have chosen to be a celebrity blogger as I have deep passion for writing and photography. As a blogger, I can blog freely about different topics and various encounters which occur in my life.

IDJ 2 is about designing my celebrity's outfit for a celebrity award ceremony
The celebrity award ceremony I attended as a celebrity blogger has three main events. Event one is the red carpet event where my outfit concept is based on the articles I blog about and my personality traits. The second event is an award taking event where I dress elegantly to receive my awards. The final event is a performance (concert) where I perform some of the song I have written on stage

IDJ 3 is about creating my celebrity's merchandise.
As a blogger, I presume that my readers would like to be able to read my blogpost while offline. Therefore, my merchandise is a pendrive with my blogposts and additional space for them to save their files so that they can blog offline too. The software to my offline blogspot can be updated each time I have an update.

IDJ 4 is about creating the Celebrity Facebook Cover photo.
I have decided to inserrt and arrange four photos which will briefly explain about my blogposts: fashion, travel, photography and food hunts. These are the highlights of my blogpost.

This IDJ assignment is a free and easy task which allows each and everyone to live their wildest dream as a celebrity. In this project, our imagination rules over reality which allows me to step into a dimension of my own world. It gave me a chance to escape from reality and immerse myself into a zone where I could plan my entire life.
However, while doing this IDJ assignment, I have realized that inspiration is the key to imagination. Without inspiration from books, pictures, or even articles, we might not be able to come up with interesting and unique ideas. Inspiration is like a spark which ignites imagination to take place. In order to have that spark of imagination, we have to enlarge our field of vision and explore deeper into the depths of other peoples' works, innovative ideas or just step out of the confines of our minds and let the ideas flow through in order to be creative in our work.
Struggling with a closed mind will only block out further ideas from flowing through your mind and body, this is why IDJ seems like a breakthrough for me to imagine myself as someone who I'd look up to and would enjoy being. This IDJ assignment has taught me to enjoy myself while playing around with my imagination as creativity is something very subjective, and it's okay to be different.
