Social Psychology is an introduction to the broad subject of psychology in the real world. It shows the social behaviour of people and discuss about solutions and approaches to a variety of problems and issues in the society. This module equipts students with necessary knowledge and skills to address contemporary issues, thus enabling them to focus attention on the future without losing sight of the present.

 

The projects carried out in this module are closely related to the concepts learned and taught during each lecture class. Students will also be tested during lessons to show that they fully understand the concept learned during each lecture class.

Social Psychology is a module which introduces psychological concepts to students. It begins at the micro level and moves through human interaction to the macro level where the concepts learned in lecture classes towards the end of the semester becomes more and more complex.

 

The main aim of learning this module is to show that each individual needs to empower him/herself first before he/she interacts effectively with others as working with others is a must in the construction field as an architect. This module also addresses the arena of social interactions by examining group behaviour and the influence within social settings. It increases student's awareness and sharpens their sensitivity to human behaviour which enables them to relate meaningfully with others. They will be able to become aware that human thoughts, feelings and actions do not originate solely within ourselves but also the products of social situations.

 

By the end of the module, students will be able to:

1. Gain knowledge on social psychology concepts

2. Understand human behaviour in occured situations

3. React and respond properly in arised situations or problems
