This is my first time working with a profession which is quite distant and unknown to myself. From this project, I was exposed to the scope of work handled by a profession in the construction industry, their responsibilities and their tasks at different stages of construction.

Throughout this project, I have learnt the importance of proper research through ceritfied websites or through articles from various reference books. There are many articles which contain facts which are untrue or irrelevant to the content of our research. This is why, as a group we have to analyze and clarify with each other if the articles researched on is from a reliable or unreliable source of information. This project taught me to have proper planning from the beginning in order to save time on collecting data.

Since this is a group work, it is important to divide the amount of work equally among the members. Everyone researched on their part as it is more efficient and we are able to cover more topics. After all this research, we sat down as a group to discuss about the information which we will be including in the presentation slides. However, we had an additional sixth member, but by that time we had already completed most of the presentation slides. It was difficult in the beginning as he was new and had not much time to do thorough research about this profession. In the end, we managed communicate with him and explain most of the research to him.

In a nutshell, I have learnt the importance of teamwork and communicating with my group members because working as a group increases the efficiency of completing a project. Other than that, I have gained knowledge about Mechanical and Electrical engineers. I have understood that each team player in the construction industry are equally important. Without any of them, a building would not be able to be completed successfully.
