BUSINESS PLAN presentation

Project Introduction:

This is the first project given to us which is a project that introduces how the business runs in a specific industry. Students are to carry out this project in a group whereby the group has to choose a business industry to analyze, understand then present to the lecturer in the end.

The presentation is regarding the start up method and preparation for the business approached. It allows students to understand the mothods of exploring ideas when starting a brand new business of their own in the market. It gives students a chance to critically think about suitable ways to prepare and manage their business.

Reflection:

This is the first assigned business project whereby we have to pick a business on our own to start. This project is an appropraite project to start on because it is the tip of the ice berg of the whole business studies. It brings light to us whereby we can apply our learned business knowledge in class in the project.

The project is not too difficult to understand or research about because the criterias in the project is very simple and straightforward. It also allows us to work on our group teamwork and individual improvements on the same time. This is because we are to carry out research individually which allows us to gain more knowledge on the business choice. On the other hand, after each of our individual research, we have to work together as a group to discuss the information researched. This gives us a chance to work with each other and enhance our teamwork as a group.

I have learned a lot about hotels in general because the business that our group has decided to work on is hotels. I have gained knowledge on the management strategies, work flow within a hotel and roles of different team players in the hotel industry. I have also understood how creativity plays its part in this project because we have to come up with creative methods to promote the hotel in order to attract tourists and customers.
