This is our final project which, like the first two projects, is a group work with the same members from the past group work. This is an intergrated project between the subjects English II, Effective Public Communication, and Economics (Quantity Surveyor only). The project requires students to choose a business which exists in both Klang Valley and a another area out of Klang Valley (student's choice). Students are then allowed to choose the type of business they they want to pursue and have an interview with the shop's owner.
The shop that the students are going to pursue have to have an existence of at least 10 years. The two businesses will then be analyzed and compared with each other. Students have to interview the two owners and record it as proof. Translation must be added and edited in if the language they speak in is a foreign language other then the English Language.
Students have to prepare a report analysis on the two businesses in both areas and a slide to be presented on presentation day. All reports and slides have to be conducted and prepared in proper English language. Students will be graded on their oral presentation and speaking.

Project Introduction:

Project Brief:
Project Process:
As we have discussed to work on pawn shops, Hui Teng has contacted and made arrangements to interview the interviewees who are with her uncles. They are both are owners of pawn shops where one is located in Klang Valley and the other is located in Malacca.
We have discussed and prepared interview questions together before carrying out the interview. The interview questions were made based on the questions given in the brief. Before interviewing the interviewees, we have also did a brief research on what pawn shops are all about in order to ask them more questions in detail.
The first person we interviewed was the owner of the pawn shop in Malcca while the second was the owner of the pawn shop in Klang Valley. We have travelled to both places to carry out the interview, investigate and analyze the geographical loaction too.
The job s are divided as so:

Reflection:
For me, this is a very serious and formal project not only because it is an intergrated project between English, Effective Public Communication and Econs, but it also involves third party people. Before this, all the projects either involve your own group members or indiviodual work. However, in this project, it involves two business man from pawn shops in Klang Valley and Malacca. We were required to interview them in order to complete the project.
The interview carried out is a formal interview whereby we have to prepare questions beforehand and do a brief research before preparing the questions. This shows that we have to always be prepared before conducting anything, especially if it involves professional people in any industry, in our case, it was people from the business industry. It allows us to be prepared for the future where we will have to be involved in many more interviews.
Other than that, since this project is given towards the end of the semester, it clashes with many other project submissions. In our case, we have actually neglected this project until the very last minute. We were too caught up with other projects to the extent where we have almost forgotten about this project until someone from the group initiated to start the project. Even if it was hectic trying to finish everything properly, we have managed to complete it on time. However, it was not easy for us to put everything together within the short period of time, we had to divide jobs accordingly and everything had to run smoothly or else we wouldn't have been able to complete the project. I am very grateful for my group members because they have put in a lot of effort in completing the project at the very end even if it were a last minute job.
In short, this project has made me realized the importance of professionalism because interviews which involve third parties are to be carried out properly in a formal method so we have to always be prepared before carriying out such interviews. Other than hat time management and teamwork are factors which allows a group to properly complete their job.
